Junior Project Engineer

Apply Now

You’re early in your engineering career and keen to be on site, involved in the real delivery of works, not watching from the sidelines. You want exposure, responsibility and the chance to learn how major infrastructure projects actually come together.

This role sits on a $100m upgrade in South Gippsland, supporting civil and structural works that don’t come around often. Heavy-duty concrete slabs, flexible pavements, drainage upgrades, ground stabilisation and support structures all form part of the scope, giving you broad, hands-on experience across multiple work fronts.

Starting in March on a 14-month contract, you’ll support planning and coordination, assist with procurement and subcontractor engagement, help manage quality and technical compliance, and keep documentation and reporting on track. You’ll be site-based, involved in safety initiatives and toolbox talks, and working closely with senior engineers who are invested in your development.

It’s a strong fit if you’ve completed, or are close to completing, a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Construction Management, and you’re looking for a role that builds real capability rather than just ticking boxes.

The package is up to $130k, with allowances reflecting the regional location. For Melbourne-based engineers, it also offers a genuine lifestyle shift - coastal living, less time in traffic and the opportunity to focus on one major project from start to finish.
