If you enjoy being the steady hand in a small, close-knit office, this could be right in your wheelhouse.

This role suits someone who takes pride in running a smooth operation, enjoys being the first point of contact and wants to be trusted with real responsibility. Maybe you’re an experienced office manager from construction or property who values balance and stability. Or perhaps you’ve worked in administration for a builder and would like exposure to early contract admin, with the opportunity to progress to a CA over time if that’s where you want to head.

You’ll be the person who keeps the office running. Front of house, diaries, meetings, invoices, paperwork and day-to-day coordination all sit with you. You’ll work closely with the directors, support the wider business and have a genuine say in how the office culture comes together, from systems through to social ideas.

The business is a Melbourne-based developer builder delivering premium residential, industrial and commercial projects. It’s a family-run group, with four in the office, all site staff are subcontracted and there’s plans to double in size over the year. Prior experience in reception or office administration is essential, and you’ll enjoy a genuinely diverse role with exposure across property development and finance as the business continues to grow.

The salary is up to $100k plus super, depending on experience. The office is based in South Melbourne and is easy to access, making the daily commute straightforward. It’s a great location where you’ll deal with clients, consultants and suppliers who expect a professional, calm and organised experience every time they interact with the business.
