This is a Senior Contracts Administrator opportunity working client-side for a growing data centre developer with an expanding presence across the eastern seaboard. The business continues to invest in its in-house delivery capability, creating genuine career progression for people who want stability, influence, and long-term opportunity rather than project-to-project contracting.
The role is primarily site-based in Melbourne’s western suburbs on a large, technically complex project where the on-site team has built an influential working culture. You’ll manage the head contractor relationship day to day, foster strong commercial partnerships, and help drive outcomes through open communication and trust. There is flexibility built into the role, including the option to work from home one day per week or spend a day working from the head office closer to the city, recognising the seniority of the position and the need for balance.
From a commercial standpoint, you’ll oversee contract administration, progress claims, variations, forecasting, and cost reporting while working closely with delivery, services, and leadership teams. Strong commercial acumen is essential, along with the confidence to manage senior stakeholders and make sound decisions in a fast-moving, services-heavy environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be embedded in the project rather than operating at arm’s length.
The project suits candidates with experience in larger-scale commercial builds such as data centres, hospitals, major infrastructure, or similarly complex projects where coordination, sequencing, and cost control are critical. It may suit someone from a head contractor background or a quantity surveying background who is comfortable operating client-side, managing a builder, and maintaining strong working relationships. Experience operating at the Senior CA level, or as a high-performing CA ready to step up on a project of scale, is important.
The salary for this role is up to $220k plus super, depending on experience, with an annual bonus structure in place. Beyond the immediate project, the broader appeal is the opportunity to grow with a developer expanding nationally and backing its people as it grows.
