If you’re a Project Manager who enjoys taking full ownership of a job - from early design methodology conversations right through to defects, this will feel like a good fit.
This isn’t a role where you’re handed a half-baked set of drawings and told to “just deliver it.” You’ll be involved from inception, working closely with design, shaping methodology and setting the project up properly. And once construction starts, you’ll see it through to completion and defect management, keeping standards high and clients confident.
The first project is a $2.5m commercial D&C fitout in the CBD, spanning multiple floors. A dedicated Site Manager will support you on this job, so you can stay focused on programme, cost control, stakeholder management and overall delivery. On smaller projects down the track, there may be times where you step slightly closer to site and take on elements of site management, so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling your sleeves up when required.
What matters here is recent, hands-on D&C experience. You’ve been operating as a PM a couple of years now and you’re confident running jobs end to end. You understand how design and construction intersect, you know how to manage consultants and trades and you don’t need constant direction to keep things moving.
You’ll be joining a business that has operated for nearly three decades across Australia and New Zealand, now working from a new CBD office that reflects the next phase of their growth. With a new Head of Projects and a new Head of Design recently appointed, there’s strong leadership and fresh energy across the delivery team.
Salary is up to $150k + super, depending on experience, with the opportunity to take genuine ownership of quality projects in a business built around end-to-end delivery.
