Have you worked on complex builds where services drive the program and design coordination can make or break delivery? Do you enjoy solving problems with consultants, keeping the scope tight and staying close to the job rather than sitting miles away from where decisions are made? If so, this could be your next step. The salary is up to $180k + super, reflecting the scope and responsibility that comes with the role.
This is a major data centre project in Melbourne’s west, pushing towards $500m. The technical scope is deep, the design piece is critical and you’ll be embedded on-site with the build team. I was out there recently and the camaraderie stood out. People looked engaged, happy and pulling in the same direction. There’s a lot of work ahead, food trucks rolling in and even simulators to break things up on the bigger days.
You’ll join a builder with serious capability and a grounded, approachable culture. Decisions get made quickly, the GM is accessible and there’s a personal feel to how the business is run. Regular catch-ups, social get-togethers and the flexibility to deal with life outside work mean you’re treated like a person, not a number.
To be considered, you’ll need design management experience in construction, specifically on either service-heavy jobs or data centres.
