You know safety isn’t paperwork, it’s people. You’ve built your career on keeping people safe. You’re the calm, methodical one who spots the gap before it becomes a risk and you take pride in building a culture where safety is owned, not policed.
You’ll be the owner’s safety rep, working closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure every person on and around the site is safe. Your days will be varied, ranging from developing proactive safety strategies to partnering with GCs on site to ensuring all programs meet (and often exceed) regulatory requirements.
These projects move fast. With multiple data halls under construction at once ($500m), you’ll need to stay composed under pressure, foresee issues before they arise, and communicate clearly with contractors and project teams. It’s a large-scale, technical environment where calm, proactive leadership makes all the difference.
You’ll join a collaborative team based in Altona that’s growing fast. They’re known for delivering large-scale, complex builds with care and precision and ensuring their EHS Managers are seen as partners, not box tickers.
You’ll bring experience as an EHS Manager, ideally in construction, preferably with data centres or large commercial/industrial projects. You’ll know how to manage high-risk activities (think electrical safety, excavation, working at heights, material handling and lifting operations) and have worked with trades such as civil, pre-cast concrete, electrical, steel, plumbing and HVAC.
