This role puts you at the centre of safety for a complex civil upgrade project that includes new pavement and concrete works, major footings, drainage upgrades, ground stabilisation and structural components. The package sits between $200k and $225k and reflects the influence you’ll have across the upgrade. With the site team newly established, your leadership will shape how people work together, look out for one another and approach risk on the ground.
You’ll be based on-site in South Gippsland, supporting supervisors, guiding staff and keeping standards high. You’ll oversee all health, safety, environment and quality aspects across the upgrade, including risk assessment, mitigation planning and compliance with legislation and ISO standards. Your presence matters because people will rely on you for direction, clarity and practical guidance.
There’s also scope to refine processes, improve systems, deliver training and collaborate with subcontractors and other stakeholders.

To be considered, you’ll need experience in a similar HSE leadership role on heavy civil or marine type projects, ideally where concrete, drainage or structural works are part of the mix. A Certificate IV in WHS or above is important, along with the ability to communicate clearly, influence behaviour and lead people in a way that builds trust and lifts standards.
